Myriam Faris denies imitating Shakira

Mariam Fares has denied circulating rumors that she imitates Lebanese - Columbian singer Shakira or that she is influenced by her. Mariam did admit that she admires Shakira and thinks that they share some similarities, but each has her own unique style.

Rumors had claimed that Mariam is trying to imitate Shakira and that it was very evident in her clip "Nadini" (Call Me).

Recently, Mariam returned to Beirut after holding a very successful concert at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jordan. The singer performed her most popular hits while the audience sang along.

Upon her arrival in Lebanon Mariam filmed a special episode for the show ‘Moto Alert’ that is aired exclusively on the music channel ‘MTV Europe.’

Mariam is the first Arab artist to be hosted on the show, which hosts artists from around the world.

Mariam was chosen by the channel’s headquarters in London since she is considered to represent Arab youth and integrates modern and classical elements into her music creating her own unique style.

Fares revealed that she received an indecent proposal from a Gulf tycoon during an appearance on the most popular television show on ‘Rotana,’ “Ma Hubi” (With My Love).

Mariam said that she was offered a ‘very generous sum of money’ from the tycoon if she would accept to spend the night with him, but that she turned down the proposal. The man did not directly ask her, but rather through a third party during one of her concerts.

Myriam Faris makes daring revelations

Lebanese singer Miriam Fares has revealed through the television show “Ma Hubi” (With My Love), which is considered to be the most popular show on Rotana, that she had received an indecent proposal from a tycoon from the gulf.

Mariam stated that she was offered a very generous sum of money from the tycoon if she would accept to spend the night with him. Mariam said that she turned down the proposal and noted that the man did not directly ask her but rather through a third party during one of her concerts.

Mariam was recently in Libya where she held a special concert alongside prominent singer Fadel Shaker.

After the concert, Mariam had returned to Lebanon to place the final touches on her upcoming music video “Wahishni Aih” (I Miss You), soon to be released.

Mariam has resumed her regular schedule of performances now that the war between Israel and Lebanon has ended. The singer cancelled all prescheduled concerts during the conflict out of respect for the Lebanese people.
